How House & Garden Shooting Powder works:

House & Garden Shooting Powder is a strong booster for use in the final 3-weeks before harvest. Shooting Powder contains a special formulation of Phosphorous and Potassium (PK) which causes the plant to grow a new layer of growth over existing fruit when normally the plant is into its maturation stage. Shooting Powder also adds weight and density to the existing fruit without causing any degradation in quality or aroma.
Using House & Garden Shooting Powder:

House & Garden Shooting Powder demands a lot from your plants so it should only be used on plants in peak health which are being grown in optimum conditions of heat, light and CO2. Shooting Powder should only be used in the last 3 weeks flowering. In the first week of the last 3 weeks of flowering, reduce the E.C. of your base nutrient to 1.2 and then add Shooting Powder at a rate of 0.65gm/Litre (1 sachet for a 100 Litre tank). Adjust pH as normal. For the last 2 weeks of flowering, again use a base nutrient solution with an E.C. of 1.2 but add Shooting Powder at a rate of 1.3gm/Litre (2 sachets for a 100 Litre tank) and then adjust pH to the required level. It is not advisable to use any other additives or boosters with any NPK value (such as PK 13/14) while using Shooting Powder as this may lead to over-fertilisation.
As with all nutrients, boosters and additives, never mix them together in their concentrated form (i.e. straight out of the bottle). Always add each nutrient, booster or additive to your reservoir or feed water in turn, giving the solution a good stir to mix it in before adding the next one.
Used as directed and in combination with House & Garden base nutrients, Shooting Powder will amaze you with the increases in yield.

House & Garden recommended dosage: 1 Sachet in 100 Litre Reservoir in 1st week of last 3 weeks of flowering stage. Use 2 sachets in 100 Litre reservoir for last 2 weeks of flowering stage.econd or third watering once the nutrient in the soil is becoming depleted. Use at a rate of between 1ml/L and 5ml/L depending on the size of the plant, it's growth stage and how depleted the soil nutrients are. For drip-fed systems, use according to feeding schedule. As with all nutrients, additives and pH adjustment products, avoid contact with skin and eyes and wear suitable protective clothing. Store at a temperature between 7C and 30C.
Please ask a member of staff for the recommended nutrient strength and pH range for the particular type of plant that you wish to grow as different types of plant have different nutrient strength requirements. The ideal nutrient strength may also vary depending on the growth stage of the plant.

Use PK 13-14 four weeks before the end of the harvest. Prepare the nutrients container by first mixing the base nutrients and setting your EC values then add PK13-14 and adjust your PH values. Dilution rate 1.5ml of PK13-14 will make 1 litre of usable nutrient solution. 

House & Garden PK 13-14 stimulates rapid fruit and flower formation by providing your plants with a large amount of phosphorus and potassium over a period of 3 to 4 days. This creates the illusion of a drought within the plant, stopping the growth cycle completely and forcing it into the flowering cycle. Phosphorous and potassium are important building blocks for the plant. Phosphorous is needed for the root formation and influences the respiration and photosynthesis within the plant. Phosphorous also plays a massive part in the flowering and ripening process. Potassium is needed for the absorption and transport of nutrients in the plant. It also has a beneficial effect on the ripening process.

Keeping your reservoir pH balanced with RO water can be a little tricky. Due to its very low ppm, RO water is prone to dramatic fluctuations when nutrients are added, or even just from exposure to air – that’s why House & Garden – pH Osmosis Stabilizer provides the perfect blend of minerals to RO water so it stabilises pH while not causing any unwanted chemical reactions. After adding it, you can implement other nutrients without worrying about drastic changes in pH. While some growers use CalMag as a “band-aid” buffer for RO water, it only keeps the pH stable for around 2 days and often includes nitrogen, which you don’t want around during the flowering stage. pH Osmosis/Stabiliser maintains pH stability for up to 10 days, with no added nitrogen and much less potential for nutrient lockout.
